New from Savoir Faire in August 2000 are two new colors of Lama Li lokta paper from Nepal. Orange and Sage are the latest additions to this beautiful line of handmade papers. Sheets are approximately 20 x 30", 60-65 g/m2, and have four deckle edges. These new colors will replace Ochre and Aqua, two retiring colors that will no longer be available once current stock is depleted. Both new colors are available now from your local paper store.

New from Black Ink for August 2000 are Indian Sewn papers. Machine made text weight 100% cotton papers from India are decorated with sewn patterns of metallic thread, adding texture and a visual contrast to the subtle shades of the papers. Sheets are approximately 19 x 27", and available at your local paper store now in two distinctive patterns.

New from Black Ink for August 2000 is a new series called Leaf Impressions. Handmade in India of cotton with silk fiber inclusions, which add a slight lustre and softness to the papers, these 100 g/m2 sheets are 25 x 33". The papers are decorated overall with green leaf images printed from the chlorophyll of actual leaves which were pressed into the individual sheets, creating a unique pattern on each one. Shown here are the three versions printed with smaller leaves. Three additional versions (not shown) are available with larger leaf prints. Available now.

New from Black Ink for August 2000 are additions to the Indian Print series. Screen and / or block printed on handmade, 100% cotton paper, these sheets are 20 x 28" and available now. A new pattern, Gold Scroll, features an overall gold print, with small magenta dots in the background on three different colored papers. Also new is the Dragonfly print on a periwinkle paper, and a yellow and orange version of the Kilim pattern.

New from Black Ink for March 2000 is a series called Ribbons & Leaves. These papers are light weight unryus, silk-screened with a detailed gold metallic design. The contrast between the translucent paper and the opaque gold ink creates a wonderful effect. Sheet size is 25x37", with two deckled edges. Very reasonably priced and available in stores now.

New from Black Ink for March 2000 is an expansion of their line of tamarind leaf inclusion papers. Previously available in white with colored leaves, these new additions offer pastel color backgrounds with complimentary color dyed leaves. Available in stores now, these sheets are lightweight (30 gm), have two deckled edges, and measure 25x37".

Another new paper from Black Ink for March 2000 is an addition to their line of Thai Garden papers. A thick mulberry paper with a very rough texture, Raintree Leaves has inclusions of bright green leaves with strings and flower petals. Really bright and impressive, these sheets are 22x30" with four deckled edges, and are available in stores now.

Adding a new dimension to this paper style, Daisies is also available in two tinted versions. The best selling pattern, Leaves & Branches, is now also available with a green tint. Here's a new family of papers from Black Ink. Climbing Vines papers are pastel tone unryu sheets printed with a bold pattern in strong transparent colors.
